Who Runs This Site
EV Picked is run by Jacob Musselman, an EV owner who got tired of accessory roundups that ignore fitment generation, mix up Juniper and pre-Juniper Model Y parts, and dump 80 SKUs onto a single page with no clear way to compare them. This site started as a personal shopping spreadsheet and grew into something public because the comparisons were more useful than what kept coming up in search.
It is a one-person operation. No outsourced writers, no sponsored "editorial picks," no fictional team. Just one person reading thousands of verified-purchase Amazon reviews, checking fitment data, and keeping the comparison tables honest.
Our Mission
The Tesla aftermarket is enormous and growing. With 1.8 million+ Tesla owners in the United States alone and a refresh cycle that obsoletes accessories every two to three years, picking the right floor mats, mud flaps, or wireless charger should not require an afternoon of forum spelunking. EV Picked organizes the data that matters (fitment generation, materials, install difficulty, owner-review sentiment, total cost) into clear side-by-side comparisons.
How We Research
Every comparison here is built from publicly available information. Fitment data comes directly from manufacturer product pages and Tesla owner club confirmations. Prices and stock status come from Amazon, verified each week via an automated Playwright script that loads the live product page and reads the buybox. Owner feedback is pulled from verified-purchase Amazon reviews and active EV subreddits like /r/teslamotors, /r/TeslaLounge, /r/ModelY, and /r/electricvehicles. If owner consensus disagrees with the manufacturer's claims, the article flags it.
Fitment generation and Juniper compatibility get extra attention. Those are two areas where listings often obscure the full picture.
What We Don't Do
No brand pays for placement on this site. No sponsored content is disguised as comparisons. Affiliate links help fund the site but never change how products are ranked. The commission is the same regardless of which product you buy.
We do not own or test the products covered. Our recommendations are aggregated from manufacturer specifications and verified buyer reviews, not first-person testing. We will never claim "we tested" something we did not test.
