About
Jacob Musselman runs EV Picked, where he compares Tesla and EV accessories on fitment, materials, install difficulty, and verified-buyer feedback. He also runs ChargeCompared (Level 2 EV chargers) and HomeGuard Picks (smart home and security), so the comparison-site discipline carries over: spec-first, no first-person test claims, weekly price verification through automated Playwright scripts.
EV Picked exists because most Tesla accessory roundups dump 80 SKUs onto a single page with no clear way to filter by Model Y generation (Juniper vs pre-Juniper), Model 3 refresh (Highland vs pre-Highland), or Model S Plaid vs Long Range fitment. The comparisons here try to surface the real decision factors: fitment generation, material tradeoffs, install difficulty, and the small quirks owners flag in verified reviews.
Editorial Process
Every article follows the same workflow. Prices and availability are verified weekly by loading the live Amazon product page through a Playwright script. Spec claims are checked against the manufacturer's own product page, not paraphrased marketing copy. Owner feedback is pulled from verified-purchase Amazon reviews and active Tesla subreddits like /r/teslamotors, /r/TeslaLounge, /r/ModelY, and /r/Model3. If a product goes out of stock or a new model ships, the old listing is removed from the comparison and a replacement is sourced.
No product makes it onto a ranked list unless its fitment, pricing, and owner feedback hold up under cross-reference. If owner consensus contradicts the manufacturer's claims, the article flags it.
No Sponsored Rankings
No brand pays for placement on this site. Rankings reflect fitment accuracy, material quality, price, and actual owner experiences, not marketing spend. EV Picked earns money through Amazon affiliate links, which means a small commission on purchases made through the site. The commission does not change based on which product you buy, and rankings are set before affiliate links go on the page.
